Created by American Express in 2010, this year's event marks a milestone for the annual spotlight on small business shopping from coast to coast. And there's good reason to get involved; the year's biggest focus on indie retailers is no small deal, attracting an estimated 51 million Small Business Saturday shoppers in 2021 alone. Over the decade-long evolution of this holiday (skipping 2019 & 2020), neighborhoods everywhere have embraced the theme of small business love on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, making it a prime occasion for downtown and Main Street festivities.
Here are some quick tips to prepare for Saturday. Make an event on your Facebook page, post signage and #SBS graphics throughout your retail store and across social channels, and invite and spread the word.
Already planning festivities for the 26th? If you have an in-store or community celebration taking place, be sure and add those events to area community calendars. Print bag stuffers to pass out to your customers, notify them of special activities and connect with other merchants as well. Visit the official Facebook page of Small Business Saturday here.
Here are just a few of the countless versions of signage and graphics for Small Business Saturday. To save, simply click any image to open a larger version in a new window, and then right-click to save to your device.
Here is a terrific site offering resources, tools and marketing graphics for indie retailers! Check out the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) website for all kinds of useful information, or connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
