Owning a cool piece of art that was made right there in your hometown is an investment in a local person. And, it's going to be something special and unique, which is way better than some plastic trinkets from a big box store, right?
FYI, there are big benefits to keeping local art in your community - classes, school, library showcases and opportunities to promote the joy of handmade products. Encouraging creators of all ages and styles to flourish and share their gifts is a positive step for all.
I hope you are inspired to "look local" where you live - discover the little studio off a country road, learn about area craftsmen and women and the stories and history they have to tell. Consider purchasing less - but more meaningful items that will bring joy and appreciation for something real and unique. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and have a wonderful week!
Sincerely,
Andrea Baumann
